NovaSpark
The company has developed a mobile atmospheric hydrogen generation system that produces reliable energy from air… on-demand, anywhere.
At the core of NovaSpark’s innovation is our Mobile Atmospheric Hydrogen Generation Unit, a compact, deployable system that extracts moisture from the air and converts it into hydrogen, capable of producing up to 8 KW of power while generating 5 kilograms of hydrogen daily for refueling and energy storage. Designed for rapid-response missions, this unit provides a continuous, on-demand hydrogen supply in austere environments, making it ideal for military field operations, disaster response teams, and mobile command centers. Its mobility ensures power independence in remote or off-grid locations, delivering clean energy without reliance on existing infrastructure. Whether deployed on military bases, humanitarian relief efforts, or first-responding units, this technology offers a zero-emission alternative to traditional diesel generators, reducing fuel logistics and improving operational sustainability.
SkyQuarry
The company is an integrated energy solutions entity, created to address the environmental issues caused by the landfill disposal of old asphalt roofing shingles.
Nearly 6 million homes in the USA are reroofed each year, sending approximately 15 million tons of asphalt roofing shingles to landfills across the country for disposal.
If recycled, each year’s disposed shingles would equate to the recovery of 20-22 million barrels of oil and approximately 9-11 million tons of sand, aggregate, and other construction solids.
The Sky Quarry team recognized the untapped potential of an already established oil extraction technology. Leveraging their expertise, they conceived a groundbreaking application capable of separating waste shingles into clean oil and other valuable materials to transform an environmental challenge into a profitable and sustainable prospect.
In October 2022, Sky Quarry purchased Foreland Refining Corporation, which is engaged in the refining of heavy crude oil into diesel and other petroleum products at its Eagle Springs Refinery located near Ely, Nevada. With annual revenues of over $50 million, the acquisition of this refinery is immediately accretive to our revenues and provides a strong base for growth.
Acquired in 2020, the PR Spring facility is situated on nearly 6,000 acres of land with an estimated resource of approximately 160 million barrels of hydrocarbon resources. Liquid asphalt is the foundation for our waste-asphalt-shingle recycling, processing and blending operations. This acquisition ensures that we can achieve the quality we need to provide top-tier infrastructure products like asphalt- paving oil and diesel fuel.
The retrofitting of the PR Spring facility with our solvent technology is currently underway and is expected to be completed and commissioned in 2025.
